In question 1, I was able to compare my film to ones I had previously researched. I think this was important as I was able to look back at where some of my ideas and inspiration came from, and whether or not I ended up sticking to it. From doing this task I have learnt that research and inspiration is important, as there is lots of similarities between my film and those I looked At. Without doing this research, I wouldn't have so many ideas and my film probably would not fit the gangster/crime genre as well as it does. This task has also displayed the main differences in my film, where I've challenged the conventions. This is important because it shows my film isn't an exact copy of an already existing one and its a bit different.

Task 4 and 5 are similar and go well together, so I decided to do them together.
This task has allowed me to re-evaluate my target audience, and change it from my original target audience based on audience feedback. From this task I have learnt that changes in your planning or film might mean your target audience changes, and it is important to look back on it to ensure you're targeting the right audience.

Question 6 - What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
To edit my footage I used Adobe Premiere Pro CC. This software is often used by professionals so is quite advanced. This meant it took me a long time to understand it, but I learnt a lot about how to do basic editing using software like this. Despite having a lot to learn, I feel I was able to use Premiere Pro to create a professional finish on my film opening by making quick cuts and having credits layered over my footage. I also was able to have a fade transition on my film title. This software also meant I could put lots of footage into it and cut it down to just the bits I needed. It also makes cutting video and audio easy, so I was able to edit out mistakes made during filming, and alter my audio so it was customised perfectly to my film.
To film the majority of my film, I used a Canon 700D Camera. This meant I could shoot in high quality and create a professional finish. I could use the manual or auto focus to create different shots. The zoom and image stabiliser also allowed me to follow my characters and get smooth, high quality shots. Being a digital camera, I was also able to put my footage straight onto a computer and into the editing software I chose to use. I learnt a lot of camera and filming basics from using this camera, which I didn't know before.
I had previously used a tripod, however I learnt how to properly use one without damaging it. It allowed me to get smooth and stable shots, and I could use the spirit level to get the camera perfectly level. I could also use it to get smooth tilt and panning shots.
